Available for Apple Silicon Macs. Other platforms are not included in this release.

Install with Homebrew

brew install tomyimkc/sophia/sophia-bot

Homebrew installs the required Python and Node dependencies. Update with:

brew update && brew upgrade sophia-bot

Install from the command line

Requires Python 3.12 and Node.js 22 or newer on PATH.

curl -fsSL https://sophia-bot-downloads.pages.dev/bot/install.sh | sh

Inspect the installer before running it. Add ~/.local/bin to PATH if needed.

Start sophia-bot, then use /local to choose Ollama, MLX, or llama.cpp, or /setup for a cloud provider.

Command-line installations update with sophia-bot update. Existing local models and provider settings are preserved.
